What is it ?

Never get bored by the syntax of crontab or at ?
In this case , here is the solution :

A graphical interface , very easy to use , allowing to program regular actions (crontab) or one shot actions (at).
Vcron is a multilingual application ( GB, FR, DE, SE, ES, BR, HU and DA provided for the moment !), with in line manual.

What does it use ?

Vcron is written in Tcl/Tk version 8.0. Moreover Vcron is only an interface to crontab and at, you must have the latters correctly configured.

Vcron is tested on Linux RedHat, Mandrake and Slackware, but it should work without problems on other platforms.

BE CARREFUL, some Slackware seem to have an access right problem for at, which must be fixed
( chmod 777 /var/spool/atjobs ), in order to get vcron running !

• vcron-2.3-1.noarch.rpm RPM format.

• vcron-2.3.tgz Gzip Tar format for the others ( untar under / ).

• install-vcron-2.3.tcl auto-install tcl script ( just execute being root).
